Delius
Berlin-based packager Delius has established a big reputation for itself in recent years. The story began with A Visual History of the World, a big seller for National Geographic in North America, UK and France and elsewhere. Over 400,000 copies in print andover twenty countries is an impressive tally. The Knowledge Book, Essentials and the Visual Adventure series took up up the baton. Looking ahead, the message is no longer confined to one medium of course: expect to see Delius e-books, apps and downloads in the near future - in fact it's happening already.
What is special about Delius? Above all, the quality and quantity of text and illustration and the way they really do work in tandem: the illustrations are an integral part of the mix. Delius books are uncompromising. Every page works hard, makes connections, opens the reader’s eyes to something new, something they hadn’t heard or thought of before.
